Installation of the outdoor exercise stations is now complete. The project was made possible through the Special Outreach Services (SOS) program which is focused on increasing engagement and delivering support services and resources to senior citizens and residents in Novi with special needs or accessibility challenges.
Outdoor Adult Fitness Parks have been growing in popularity in recent years as the benefits of outdoor exercise have been recognized. Improved psychological and physiological health, disease prevention, improved adherence to regular exercise, decreased tension and depression, increased energy, greater satisfaction levels and access to green environments are just some of the numerous benefits these playgrounds can provide.
October 2021
The installation of outdoor exercise stations at Wildlife Woods Park is being completed. The equipment will be located south of the pickleball courts. It requires closure of the Wildlife Woods parking lot located off Wixom Road for approximately 2 weeks for staging of equipment and materials. Parking is available at Deerfield Elementary. This project is part of Novi City Council's Special Outreach Services initiative.
Four pickleball courts
The four new pickleball courts at Wildlife Woods Park are officially open. These courts, located on the north side of the park, are dedicated to pickleball only. Open from dawn to dusk, it is the perfect location to play the game you love. Thank you to the Novi Parks Foundation for their generous donation that assisted with the courts being built for the Novi Community.
