Make a difference and become an Election Workers.

Election Workers work with the chairperson, co-chairperson, and other workers to set up the precinct on Election Day, assist and verify voters, maintain the integrity and security of the voting process, operate voting equipment, manage ballots and election materials, enforce established election procedures, and help ensure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot accurately and securely. Election Workers are assigned to one of Novi’s 24 precincts from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 10:00 p.m.
AVCB Election Workers are responsible for securely processing and counting absentee ballots. They verify and organize returned ballots, maintain ballot security and voter secrecy, operate or assist with tabulation equipment, reconcile ballot totals, and follow Michigan election law and established procedures to ensure absentee ballots are accurately processed. The AVCB is at the Novi Civic Center and generally operates on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. until completion (typically 10:00 p.m. or later). In some elections, early tabulation of absentee ballots is performed on a scheduled date ahead of the election.
Perform the same tasks as Precinct Election Workers, just with shorter hours! There is a morning shift from 6am – 2pm and an evening shift from 1pm-9pm.
