The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services department identified the Wildlife Woods Park as an appropriate location to install Novi’s first dedicated pickle ball courts. The park has a new access drive from Wixom Road and a parking lot adjacent to the park shelter. Four (4) pickle ball courts with fencing will be installed just east of the park shelter, along with an asphalt pathway connecting the courts to the existing walkway. Additionally, an aggregate path will be installed from the park shelter to the baseball diamonds on the east end of the park. Construction is expected to begin in September 2020.
November 2020
Fencing for the pickle ball courts is being completed. Application of the court lines and acrylic coating are weather dependent and may need to be completed in Spring 2021.

A pathway from the new northern parking lot to the shelter was constructed.

Installation of a new entryway off Wixom Road and also a 12-spot asphalt parking lot is completed on the northwestern portion of the park.
Initially acquired by the City in 1994 and 1997 as part of a 1993 bond for more than 100 acres, a 52-acre corner portion of the property was sold to Novi Community Schools in 1997 for the construction of Novi Middle School and Deerfield Elementary School. A picnic shelter with restrooms was built on the remaining City land in 2000-01 and backstops for softball diamonds were installed in 2001. Tennis courts and basketball courts were also added along a shared boundary with the schools.
