The Forestry Asset Section is managed by the City Forester. This section of the Field Operations Division is charged with the maintenance and upkeep of the City’s urban forest, which contains approximately 40,000 trees found along major and neighborhood roadways and city parks.
The Forestry Asset Section is busy year-round providing services to Novi residents. Those services include:
- Pruning public street trees
- Planting new street and park trees
- Removing trees along roadways and non-motorized pathways
- Removing stumps from along roadways and parks
