Novi's biz growth beats odds
Location, state tax breaks spur an uptick
January 5, 2008
For a community far flung from the urban center, Novi has
done better than the odds might call for in commercial growth
and economic attraction. In assessment numbers to be finalized
later this month, city officials currently expect Novi’s
nonresidential property valuation for 2009 to increase by at
least $50 million above the January 2008 valuation of $1.34
billion, said City Manager Clay Pearson. Visit investnovi.org to read full
article or to learn more about doing business in the City of
Novi.

A Message from the Police
Chief: Winter Driving Safety Tips
It’s a known fact Michigan winters bring harsh and ever-changing
weather conditions. Winter weather can make road conditions
unpredictable, and often times extremely dangerous. Driving
hazards such as limited visibility, black ice, and snow removal
equipment are just some of the challenges motorists may
encounter on winter roads.

|
Snow Removal
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) reminds residents
and business owners that it is illegal under Michigan law to
shovel or plow snow or ice onto any road or highway, or to
deposit snow on a road or road shoulder in such a way that it
blocks motorists’ views of traffic.
