How does the City generate revenue

 

Municipal-specific comments The City generates several revenue sources. The largest proportion of revenues comes from property taxes, which is calculated by the millage rate times the property tax value. Additional sources of revenue come from state and federal grants, permits, fees, and water and sewer charges. Without revenues, the City could not provide services, such as police, fire, road maintenance, etc.
