We wish to extend our appreciation and congratulations to Officer Jason Bergtold on his nomination and selection as the Novi Public Safety Employee of the month, February 2015. Officer Bergtold was nominated and overwhelmingly selected by the Implementation Committee for his dedication, work ethic, and continuous commitment to his own professional growth.
Since joining our team at the Novi Police Department, Officer Bergtold has been a dedicated, dependable, and valuable police officer. He has taken every effort to develop your professional capabilities, since certifying for solo patrol. One of Officer Bergtold’s supervisors had the following accolades, “Jason is conscientious in completing his assignments and does an excellent job on his reports. He is constantly in search of law violators and is committed to community policing. Furthermore, Jason is receptive to instruction and constructive criticism. He has a real love for law enforcement work and seeks opportunities to better himself.”
During the month of February, Officer Bergtold conducted patrol vigilantly seeking those violating the law. He took action in a proactive manner, whether by making traffic stops, or arrests. During the month of February, he conducted ninety-one traffic stops and made twenty-one arrests. Among others, his arrests included:
1 Possession of Crack Cocaine
1 Possession of Heroin
2 OWI 2nd or subsequent arrests.
Officer Bergtold’s sense of personal responsibility and accountability makes him a valuable member of our team. He is always eager to assist others, whether from this agency or the greater community. The efforts that he invests in his professional development will pay dividends throughout his career. It is with great pride that the members of the Novi Public Safety Team, and the Novi Community recognize his outstanding work.
