November 2014 - Fire Lieutenant Josh Bunse
Fire Lieutenant Josh Bunse
The Novi Public Safety Administration would like to congratulate Fire Lieutenant Josh Bunse on his nomination and selection as the Novi Public Safety Employee of the month, November 2014. Lt. Bunse was by Captain Mark Theisen and selected by the Implementation Committee for his consistently outstanding work on behalf of the Novi Fire Department.
As a mentor and trainer for new Paid On-Call and Auxiliary firefighters, Lt. Bunse is making an impression on our future leaders. As a mentor, he equips these new individuals with the necessary skills required to pass their training, enabling them to seamlessly integrate into the fire department. Lt. Bunse’s successful coaching and support of the new employees not only benefits the citizens of Novi but maintains the high level of service expected from the Novi Fire Department.
When Lt. Bunse learned of a local fire department that was in need of firefighting turn-out gear, he spearheaded an initiative to turn over used Novi equipment which would have otherwise been destroyed. After a formal presentation to City Administration and City Council, permission to donate the needed equipment was granted. Because of Lt. Bunse’s efforts, other firefighters are wearing protective equipment that their city would have not been able to afford. It is with great pride that we recognize his outstanding work.
It is for these reasons, that Fire Lieutenant Josh Bunse was selected Novi Public Safety Employee of the Month for November 2014!
