The Treasurer’s
Department is responsible for all monetary collections on behalf of
the City of Novi, the collection and distribution of real and
personal property taxes, and investing City money into investments
that secure the principal and provide adequate rates of return.
Revenue received is invested into investment vehicles governed by
Public Act 20.
Billing and
collection of water and sewer payments, special assessments and
issuance of Oakland County Dog Licenses are also processed in the
Treasurer’s Office. Bond guarantees, letters of credit, and other
security monies are collected, recorded, tracked, and refunded
through our office.
Winter 2008 Updates from the Treasurer's Office

Winter 2008 property tax statements were
mailed the first week of December. If you do not receive
your tax invoice by mid-December, please call the Treasurer's
Office at 248-347-0440 and a duplicate bill will be mailed to you.

Please note: Winter taxes are
due and payable December 1, 2008 through February 14, 2009.
Payments will be accepted through Tuesday, February 17, 2009
without penalty as a result of Saturday due date and Monday
holiday.

included with statement – please include the top portion of the
bill with your check made payable to the City of Novi.

Drop Box
For your
convenience, there is a drop box located at the curb behind the
Civic Center for tax and water/sewer payments (checks only please,
no cash.) We ask that you put your check and top portion of
the bill in an envelope before putting in the drop box.
Payments will be accepted in the drop box until midnight on the due
date.
In Person
Pay in person at
Treasurer’s Office in the Novi Civic Center (first office to the
right on first floor). We accept cash and check only – credit
card payments CANNOT be processed at the Treasurer’s Office (see the
following information for credit card payments).
Electronic Check Payments

payments are offered through Official Payments by clicking here.
You can also make an electronic payment by telephone at
800-272-9829. In processing a telephone payment, you will need
the City of Novi Jurisdiction Code, which is 3246. There are
no fees for online/telephone processing of electronic check.

assistance processing your payment.

payments are offered through Official Payments by clicking here.
You can also make a credit card payment by telephone at
800-272-9829. In processing a telephone payment, you will need
the City of Novi Jurisdiction Code, which is 3246. Please note
that Official Payments charges a convenience fee for this service
which is the responsibility of the taxpayer. Please contact
the Treasurer's Office at 248-347-0440 if you need assistance
processing your payment.
