Recycling

Don't Dump It!  Recycle It!
Recycle Bin

The Abitibi Paper Retriever® program promotes recycling by placing drop-off containers at participating schools and non-profit organizations and has provided Novi Community Schools with a PAPER RECYCLING BIN located in the parking lot between Deerfield Elementary and Novi Middle School. It is a community recycling bin, so we welcome the community to help us fill it. Each month Abitibi will send a truck to weigh and empty our bin. For each ton of paper we will get $5.00, so the more paper in the bin the better.

The following items can be commingled in the bin. No need to separate them, they do that at their facility. White copy and lined paper (staples are okay), colored copy paper, soft cover books, catalogs, magazines, newspaper, junk mail.

The following items cannot be put in the bin. Phonebooks, cardboard, cereal boxes, tissue boxes, food cartons, chipboard, laminated paper, colored construction paper.

The City of Novi DPW works with nearby communities to recycle.
