The game of curling is played on ice and emphasizes teamwork and strategy. Sliding granite stones to a circular target combines the skill of “delivery” with the aerobic exercise of “sweeping”. Discover why this is known as “chess on ice”. Open to men and women of age 18 or older. The lessons are flexible to fit your ability and interest. All sessions include two days of onice instruction and two days of game play. Additional Information: Dress in layers of loose-fitting clothing and bring a separate pair of clean tennis shoes. Established in 1998 with 25 members, the Skating Club of Novi is a volunteer organization that has been a member of the United States Figure Skating Association since 1999. Since then, the club has grown to almost 150 members. The club is dedicated to the promotion of figure skating, and supports many activities at the Novi Ice Arena to further this goal. The Skating Club hosts the Annual Ice Show in early spring that showcases the talents of our Learn to Skate students as well as our recreational and competitive figure skaters. Our coaching staff is for all levels of skaters, from beginner to competitive; individual freestyle and dance. Fall/winter freestyle ice is available six days per week (Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday mornings). Please call the rink for times and levels.

130+ travel players, making it
one of the largest in Michigan
and the USA. Over the years, NYHA teams have won state and
district championships with many tournament wins in tow. The
hockey season runs from early August (travel)/late August
(house) through March. The house (beginning with the Squirt
division) and travel teams participate within the Little Caesars
Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL), the nation’s largest amateur
youth hockey league. Mini-Mite and Mite house players
compete against local teams. The Association also offers
“Learn to Play Hockey” programs. For more information about
