Just over 11 acres of long-held public property on the south side
of Walled Lake is being formally designated as parkland, thanks to a
study and rezoning adopted by the Novi City Council. In June 2009,
the City contracted for the preparation of a Land Use Study of
City-owned property at the northeast corner of South Lake Drive and
Old Novi Road on Walled Lake commonly known as "the Landings
Property." After consideration of the City's full range of options
at the site, a grant is being pursued to improve attractiveness and
public use of this green space.
