Race Car Arrives at New Novi
Public Library
It's official! The Novi Special Race Car has a new home!
It was delivered on December 23, 2009. The Special was
carefully moved into the new building by the help of Keford
Collision and Towing. Keford did a wonderful job, along with the
help of Library Board Trustees - Mark Sturing and Willy Mena.
The car is safe and warm awaiting its platform where it will be
displayed for all to see in June 2010.

Visit Your Library and Check Out A
Museum
The
“Museum Adventure Pass” program, presented by Macy’s launched
October 25, 2007. A partnership between 162 metro area
libraries and 25 local arts and cultural organizations, it provides
library card holders in the Greater Detroit area free passes to
local museums, cultural centers and historical sites. A
complete list of participating organizations can be found by
clicking here. This site also includes a list of suggested
readings, tapes and DVDs to complement your museum experience.
How does it work? Novi library card holders browse the
Museum Adventure display for passes to the specific museum they want
to visit. They check out the pass and are given an admission
pass, good for the next 7 days, for the organization they plan to
visit. The admission pass is handed in at the box office for
free admission for two or four people depending on the policy of the
organization. You do not have to return the admission pass to
the library.
Some of the organizations participating in the Museum Adventure
Pass program include The Detroit Institute of Arts, Howell Nature
Center, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Ford Rouge Factory Tour, the
Motown Historical Museum and many, many more.
We’re looking forward to providing Novi Library patrons access to
some great adventures in our area.
