Partnership in Excellence Program
The NFD
partners with Providence Hospital and the Novi High School to
educate young adults about medical careers. On April 25, 2008, 22
Novi High School students toured the Novi FD EMS units and listened
to a presentation by Lt. Martin, the NFD Training Officer, about the
value of medical education to emergency responders. Every fall and
spring a group of Novi High students tour Providence Hospital and
Novi Fire Department.
The Novi Fire Department has participated with Novi High School
and Providence Hospital in the “Partnership in Excellence” program
for one year. Lt. Martin has talked to a total of 48 Novi students.
Several students have expressed interest about a Fire Department
career.
