CONTACT: Debbie Lannen 248-735-5615 Novi, Mich., April 29, 2008 - Throughout our lives, we encounter many forms of music. Some are enjoyed and then forgotten while others stay with us a lifetime. That is what the Novi Concert Band hopes will happen as they present their upcoming concert - Great Moments in Music. The selections have been carefully chosen from a multitude of music to allow the audience to remember songs they have loved from the past and also to hear songs that they will forever remember into the future. Numbers include highlights from The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Henry James and the Beatles. Joining the Novi Concert Band for this performance will be special guest vocalist Julie Landry. Mrs. Landry brings a quality that audiences are sure to enjoy as she performs the Judy Garland classic Over the Rainbow as well as the wonderful standard Blue Moon. This musical event will take place on Sunday May 4 at 2:00pm at the Novi Middle School Auditorium, 49000 11 Mile Rd (between Beck and Wixom Roads). Admission is free and refreshments will be served at intermission. The Novi Concert Band, under the direction of Scott Cramer, welcomes sponsorships and donations to help to support their effort to bring quality music to the community.
