FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NOVI, Michigan, March 11, 2008 – If a child could
design a perfect summer, it would probably include plenty of
friends, exciting things to do every day, and a place to keep cool
when the summer sun gets too hot. The Novi Parks Department is
excited to be offering over 15 new camps with something to meet
every child’s interest.
Summer camps provide benefits in a broad array of
areas including physical, emotional, social and intellectual. Camps
often allow children to discover new types of people and call on
personal resources to achieve goals. “We are so excited to be
enhancing our offerings this summer. We truly have something for
every child” comments Nancy Cowan, City of Novi Superintendent of
Recreation. “Some of my favorites are the Sporties for Shorties
Camp for pre-schoolers and Cirque Amongus Circus Camp
where kids are introduced to the fundamentals of circus arts. I
can’t wait for summer to see the enthusiasm and growth in our
campers.”
