website. Voters can now see if they are registered,
the location of their precinct and sample ballots.

Picture Identification Now Required to
Vote!
The Michigan Supreme Court ruled on July 18, 2007 that a
provision of Michigan election law that is constitutional
and enforceable now requires voters to either present
picture identification or sign an affidavit if they do not
have picture identification with them.

ELECTION NOVEMBER 3, 2009 FOR
THE CITY OF NOVI
To the Qualified Electors of the City of Novi – Oakland County,
Michigan: Notice is Hereby Given that a City General Election will
be held in the City of Novi, County of Oakland, State of Michigan on
TUESDAY, November 3, 2009. The Polls will be open 7:00am - 8:00pm.
All Polling Places are handicap accessible and Braille and audio
versions of voting instructions are available at the
Polling Places listed on the Precinct
page of our website.
For the purpose of electing candidates for the following offices:

Absentee ballots are available to qualified electors at the
Office of the City Clerk, 45175 W. Ten Mile Road, or by
clicking here. The deadline for the City Clerk’s Office to
receive applications for ballots to be mailed is 2:00pm Saturday,
October 31, 2009. The City Clerk’s Office will be open on Saturday,
October 31, 2009 from 8:00am to 2:00pm for the purpose of obtaining
an absentee ballot. Persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot may
obtain a ballot in person at the City Clerk’s Office until 4:00pm
Monday, November 2, 2009 and must vote that ballot in the City
Clerk’s Office. You may verify your voter registration and polling
