The Novi Older Adult Advisory Board provides input regarding new, innovative programming, social services, and to help involve the boomer generation. The board consists of five Novi residents including a liaison from the Novi Public Library. Members meet the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm at Novi Civic Center. The positions are appointed by the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director and the staff liaison will be the Older Adult Services Manager.
Novi Older Adult Services promote healthy, active lifestyles that support independence and vitality for adults 55+ by providing opportunities and networks within the community for socialization, health and fitness, transportation, life-long learning and support services.
Board members and staff collaborate in implementing the 2018-2022 Novi Older Adult Services Strategic Plan. They advocate for older adults and promote community involvement.
