Starting a fitness program may be one of the best things you can do for your health. Physical activity can improve bone and heart health, improve balance and coordination, develop muscle strength, and assist with weight loss.

The Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department offers a variety of fitness classes from lowimpact workouts that help strengthen and tone muscles to high-impact aerobics which helps burn fat and calories. Classes are available morning, evenings and weekends and our professional instructors will help guide you to a healthier you.

Fitness Tip of the Season:
Many individuals take walks to get their exercise, but to build up your endurance, it’s important to walk often and walk briskly. Brisk walking increases your breathing and heart rate for an extended period of time. To vary your routine, try one of the many fitness classes offered.

How do I find the “right” class for me? Listed below you’ll find a variety of fitness classes that vary from highimpact aerobics to gentle strength building. Each program includes age suggestions. These are suggestions; you’re encouraged to reference the ability icon to determine if the class may be right for you. Still not sure? Contact us to try one class free of charge. Call 248.347.0414 for details.
