Election Workers

Training sessions for new workers have concluded; therefore we are unable to accept applications for placement at the November 8, 2016 Election.  All applications submitted after October 26th will be kept on file for future elections.

The Novi City Clerk’s office is looking for civic-minded, qualified citizens to work as Election Inspectors for elections. Hours are 6:00am to approximately 9:00pm on Election Day.  All workers receive $10 for training.  Inspectors are paid $175 for working on Election Day, Precinct Co-Chairs earn $200, and Precinct Chairs earn $225.


  • You must be a registered voter in Oakland County or a 16-17 year old student.  
  • You must attend a 1 to 2 hour paid training session prior to the election.  
  • Workers must be able to retain and utilize the information, work under the direct supervision of the Precinct Chairman and be proficient in computer technology skills.  
  • All workers must have the ability to stand for long periods of time (at least one hour) and must be capable of setting up election equipment (tables, voting booths, etc.) with the assistance of others.

Interested persons must complete the Election Inspector application.
