As a result of legislation enacted in 2012 (PA 523 of 2012), voters who obtain an absent voter ballot in person are also required to comply with the picture identification requirement. If a voter is not in possession of picture ID, they may sign the same Affidavit of Voter not in Possession of Picture Identification form that is used in the polls on Election Day. AV ballots from voters that obtain a ballot in person and do not provide picture identification and sign the affidavit form must be processed as a challenged ballot on Election Day.

Picture Identification Now Required to Vote!
The Michigan Supreme Court ruled on July 18, 2007 that a provision of Michigan election law that is constitutional and enforceable now requires voters to either present picture identification or sign an affidavit if they do not have picture identification with them.

To the Qualified Electors of the City of Novi, Oakland County, Michigan. Notice is hereby given that Tuesday, October 10, 2017 is the LAST DAY TO REGISTER for the November 7, 2017 election. The Novi City Clerk’s office, 45175 Ten Mile Road, Novi, MI 48375 will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of receiving applications of qualified electors in the City of Novi who are not already registered.
If you are not currently registered to vote in the City of Novi at your present address, you may do so in any of the following ways:
• At the Novi City Clerk’s Office, 45175 Ten Mile Road, Novi 48375 M-F, 8-5 p.m.
• At any Secretary of State Branch Office during normal business hours.

• Mail-in voter registration applications may be obtained by clicking here. Complete the form, sign and mail, or www.Michigan.gov/vote
• By obtaining and completing a Mail-in Voter Registration Application and returning it to the Novi City Clerk’s office by the close of registration deadline, October 10, 2017.
The November 7, 2017 Election will be conducted in all precincts and includes the following:
MAYOR – VOTE FOR ONE – TWO YEAR TERM
COUNCIL MEMBERS – VOTE FOR THREE – FOUR YEAR TERM
